Ecru Linen Games Blazer Mk. II
The Mk. II Games blazer is the second version of Drake's soft, collegiate-derived Games jacket, reworked here with stronger workwear references. It keeps the relaxed, roomy cut and patch pockets of the first model but adds a peaked notch lapel with working keyhole buttonholes, so the front can be closed right up with five buttons in the manner of an old work coat. Made unlined and unstructured in Italian linen, it can be worn as an odd jacket or alongside the matching Games trousers as a casual suit.

Ivory Irish Linen Bedford Jacket
We chose an ivory Irish linen from Baird McNutt because it is close in colour to the ecru original and shows a similarly uneven, slubby linen surface. We matched the soft construction by leaving the jacket uncanvassed, unlined and ventless, with patch pockets, light brown horn buttons, a three-roll-two front and interior traveller pockets in place of the passport pockets. Proper Cloth does not offer the peaked notch lapel, the keyhole lapel buttonholes for full fastening, the ticket pocket or chevron stitching, so we used a standard notch lapel and three patch pockets instead.
A plain weave pure linen from the Baird McNutt mill in Northern Ireland, weighing about 400 g and so considerably heavier than most summer jacket linens. It is a creamy ivory solid with visible variation from a slightly irregular yarn, and it has a smooth but textured hand that will crease and soften with wear.
